Restoran Nasi Kandar Al-Jazeerah is a beloved culinary gem nestled in the heart of Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor, offering an authentic Malaysian dining experience with a special focus on classic Nasi Kandar and a vibrant array of local favorites. This mamak-style eatery invites you to indulge in a comforting, flavorful journey through Malaysia’s diverse and rich food culture.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the nasi kandar, revered by many locals including enthusiast Zaini Hj Ali, who regards it as one of the best in Kuala Langat. The succulent, freshly fried ayam goreng served alongside fragrant steamed rice and a medley of robustly spiced, aromatic curries dazzles the palate with every bite. Meanwhile, the roti canai here is a must-try, with its crispy, flaky texture perfectly soaking up the rich, savory kuah — the “banjir” style being a highlighted choice among regulars.
Beyond nasi kandar, the restaurant’s offerings encompass a delightful variety from mamak classics to tomyam and even Western dishes, showcasing versatility without compromising quality. Customers like PehDzul YahZarn rave about the “superb” roti sardin, a flavorful treat embodying the comforting heart of this eatery. Harmonies found the mee rojak surprisingly good with a pleasant kick of spiciness, adding to the diverse palate-pleasing options.
The dining atmosphere at Restoran Nasi Kandar Al-Jazeerah is lively and authentic, perfectly suited for casual hangouts with friends. The ample parking space adds convenience, making it ideal for both quick bites and leisurely gatherings. The restaurant maintains a clean environment and includes surau facilities, attuned to the needs of its patrons.
Occasional bustling crowds may create a vibrant, bustling atmosphere rather than a tranquil one, making this spot perfect for those seeking a social and energetic dining experience. Customer Hudzaifah Rezil notes that while it may not be the place for a serene solo meal, it’s an excellent hangout with friends to enjoy delicious food in good company.
First-timers will be pleasantly surprised by the generous serving sizes and affordable pricing. For example, the famed teh air mangkuk is served in a huge cup, offering great value and a refreshing end to your meal, as highlighted by reviewer Fitri Viona.
While some recent changes—such as the removal of the satay stall and a subtle shift in staff demeanor—have been noted by patrons like Jasmine, the core appeal of the restaurant’s flavorful offerings remains strong. The team’s commitment to preserving quality and authentic taste promises to keep this eatery a local favorite for years to come.

Usually had my roti canai and nasi lemak here. Super good, location wise, lot of parking space. This time saja order mee rojak, surprisingly good, quite spicy tho. One things je saya tak berkenan, mamak here love to touch my toddler cheek. Even when I said pla dont touch. Hopefully owner would advice them not to do that.

The food is not bad..I would suggest you try the roti canai banjir..the kuah itself is not disappointing like some other mamak..but the because it is too crowded..you wouldn't enjoy dining there if you want to relax..with your family or even by yourself..but if you want to lepak with your friends... it's recommended

Update: Satay stall is no longer there. Heard that the owner asked the stall to leave. We’ll likely return still for other menu items but the vibes did change on our recent trip. Staff appeared on edge. The tandoori chicken and cheese naan we had also weren’t as good as it used to be. Hopefully this doesn’t signify that standards have dropped. ——— Stumbled across this place by chance while looking for a late night meal. The restaurant’s brightly lit and impossible to miss if you’re passing by the area. We got an outdoor table which was the preferred spot for most customers. Service was quick and staff took our orders quickly. There’s a foodcourt section and the satay stall caught our eye. Prices are on the higher side, but for a good reason—the meat chunks on the satays are huge. Very generous portions compared to other satay places. Satay was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. Meat was tender and the satay kuah was yummy. I do wish for more cucumber with my order of satay, so I’ll be sure to ask for that next time. Next, we had the nasi kandar which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Prices were reasonable as well for the lauk we took. Nasi briyani, daging, telur masin (RM 16) Nasi briyani separuh, ayam goreng, telur masin separuh, kobis (RM 13) Teh limau ais mangkuk (RM 3.20) Satay—15 sticks (RM 29) + nasi impit (RM 1) Decided to come a second time and try out different items, and we were pleasantly surprised again. What we tried this round: Cheese naan (~RM 4.70) Tandoori (~RM 7.80) Maggi goreng telur mata (~RM 7.00) (Rough prices as I can’t recall the exact numbers) Service was quick the second time too despite it being a weekend night and a larger crowd. Cleanliness was a little off though as there were lots of tissue and food waste on the floor. Other than that, I would recommend as it’s a great place for meals and yumcha at an affordable budget.

Best Nasi Kandar near Banting. I was surprised by the taste of the curries, and the ayam goreng was fresh and hot. The price was reasonable too. RM8 for my plate of nasi kandar. Hidden mamak spot in Teluk.

This is the first time i go to Mamak restaurant and they serve the air mangkuk in this huge cup.. the teh air mangkuk i think is around RM3-4 something.. dont quite remember the cent BUT the price is for the huge cup walao.. i mean, if you to pasar malam or any hawker that sell drinks, for this type of cup they will charged you around RM5-6 per cup or maybe higher.. its very very reasonable to eat here.. the roti canai also good.. not stretchyy hard of roti (if you know what i mean).. the staff are also helpful and friendlyyy.. i really like the concept of “open dine in area” .. its not suffocated to eat here because it has open space.. overall the price is good and affordable.. the drinks is TOPPP always come here and order “teh ais mangkuk” .. the big cup is call as mangkuk here.. hehehe they also have normal glass, but can request mangkuk if want i like the drawing@mural they paint.. soo uniqueeeeeee and creative.. okay thats all
